Thanks for your prayers and participation for/in last weeks MST Project ministry here in Phnom Penh, Cambodia. We had some good conversations but we know that what is going on in the spiritual realms is even more significant than what we could see:

  1. An American man who worked as a consultant with the UN. He had come down for a few beers but after a while really opened up to John about religion. John invited him to have enough faith the size of a mustard seed to believe. Let us pray that he does and God will speak to him.
  2. A man from Cameroon. He got excited when we said we were a church group and said "it's time I got back into that" . Incidentally this is the third Cameroonian we have met who said they were Christians.
  3. A man from Canada admitted he was here for sex but didn't want to take a packet.
  4. A man from the UK; antagonistic but really hurting. I felt he was just getting over a breakdown in a relationship although he said he was single. He was angry towards women and the church saying the church had a veneer of respectability but underneath was hypocrisy and a cesspit. I felt that he may have been Christian before and got hurt. I really felt that he was agonizing about the choices that he was making. He was in so much pain. Please pray for him.
  5. We spoke to an American Indian marine who had his own moral code that recognized the inequality in bars here where girls cannot really choose and said that he made a note of men who admitted they were looking for young girls and reported them to the American Embassy. Not a Christian but seemed really open to us. He even said if anyone got angry with us we could call on him!
  6. Some drunk Frenchmen laughed at us wagging their fingers at us as NGOs. Decided what we were there for was ridiculous but didn't let us get a word in edgewise! Said we had a problem in our minds.

The prayer team said in the journal; " We feel an overwhelming sense of God's love for these men.  He sent Jesus to cover their shame - these men have the freedom to run to God and not from him...to know his love truly satisfies".  They saw "a picture of angels of light; darkness battling and felt the presence of Jesus and complete peace. They felt He was saying that the battle in the heavens has been won".
